A hot summer day, a beautiful venue and an inspring "maître" Sebas. Under his supervision we first set about getting a grip on the necessary footwork and attack and defense techniques. Equipped with masks, protective jacketsand underarm protectors, we were then allowed to duel together. Twan, Stephan, Sigrid and Gjalt soon showed that they were the ones to beat, which not everyone succeeded in doing... Fencing is a fascinating sport, and much more physically demanding that one might think at first sight. And that goes double on hot summer days, wearing all that protective equipment... All the more pleasant then to relax afterwards in the shade of the orchard for drinks and a communal barbecue!
